Head Coach Ernie Kent
"They (Cal) are an excellent basketball team, and they have really played well this year. They have senior leadership and a lot of talent."

"In the first half, we were trying to play too much one-on-one and had too many turnovers. In second half, they got into a big rythym, and we went cold, which really ended up being the different in the game."

"Defensively, we played well in the first half. But, offensively, we were unable to capitalize on those oppurtunities created by our defense."

"When we take bad shots, we really hurt ourselves. We have to be patient, get in rythym, and take good shots to be succesful offensively."

On Luke Jackson's Hand:
"He's getting better, but he's still not where he has been, and that obviously that hurts us. He's out of rythym and that's expected because of the injury. He's passing up shot he would normally take, which leaves a big void for us to fill as a team."

On Civil War:
"This is a big ball game for us. We need to get back on track. It's the Civil War, and we need to respond accordingly."

Matt Short
"It was a lot of little things, nothing big. We played well sometimes, other times it got out of our hands."

On California:
"They're are a great team. They know how to get points and got things done."

"We came out slow in the second half. They played the same. We needed to execute better."

"Once he gets on a streak he is the most unstoppable players in the league. He knows how to get open. You just try and contain him."

"They had a great game plan. You have to give Cal a lot of credit for playing so well at Mac-Court. They just hit shots. They know what it takes to win, we didn't."
